MYRTLE BEACH — Myrtle Beach police are investigating a home invasion where a teen was shot in the arm, according to a police report.
An 18-year-old man was shot in the arm after three men kicked open an apartment door at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at 711 Third Ave. N., police said. A 39-year-old man was hit in the head with a gun and both men were forced to ground while the three robbers searched the house.
The victims told police that they were watching a movie when a 19-year-old man came to the apartment and was out of breath, according to the report. The victims said the teen told them he had been down the street at another house when three men followed him and pointed a gun at him.
The teen said he ran away from the armed men and came to the apartment, according to report. About 15 minutes after the teen showed up, the men kicked open the apartment door and forced their way inside.
After the robbers left the apartment, the victims said the 19-year-old man also got up and ran away, according to the report. Officers did not find the teen in the area.
The 18-year-old man and 39-year-old man each refused to be taken to a local hospital by EMS, according to the report. No other details were listed.
