MYRTLE BEACH — A 28-year-old Myrtle Beach woman told police that her former boyfriend threatened her and held a knife to her throat in front of her children, according to a police report.
The victim called officers about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday to 2005 Greens Blvd., to report the incident, police said.
The victim said the 28-year-old Myrtle Beach man lived with her before they separated and Wednesday morning while she was walking back from the store she saw him at the corner of her apartment building, according to the report. The victim said she told him to leave her alone.
The victim said the suspect followed her and argued with her, according to the report. The victim said the suspect took a small kitchen knife from his pocket and held it to her throat.
The victim said she asked the suspect if he was going to cut her throat in front of her children and he put the knife away, but they continued to argue, according to the report. The victim said she called the suspect’s brother because she didn’t want to call the police and wanted the suspect gone from her apartment.
She said the suspect’s brother told her to call the police. The children were gone to school by the time police arrived.
Officers noted the woman did not have any visible injuries and officials with the Clerk of Court told the officer that there was little probable cause for an arrest warrant to be issued, according to the report.
