MYRTLE BEACH — Myrtle Beach police charged a 36-year-old man in connection with a 45-year-old woman reporting he pointed a gun at her while he argued with another person, according to a police report.
Craig Jerome Scott, 36, was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm at a person after officers were called about 7:30 p.m. Sunday to 100 Cedar St., police said.
Police took Scott into custody in front of the building and then learned from the victim that Scott had argued with another person inside the house, according to the report. The victim said when Scott walked outside she went to close the door, but Scott pointed a gun at her.
A witness told police that Scott walked behind the apartment building, threw the gun into the woods and then walked away, according to the report. Officers found a handgun in the area and took it as evidence.
