MYRTLE BEACH — Horry County police are warning area residents that there is a telephone scam circulating regarding automated calls from Conway National Bank, according to authorities.
Officers have received several calls about the automated call to residents and they are prompted to dial in their account number during the call, police said. The call is a scam and not being generated by Conway National Bank.
Residents should not dial in their account number during the call or give it to anyone over the phone, police said.
