— A Myrtle Beach man told police a woman slashed his neck after they unsuccessfully attempted to buy drugs.

According to a Myrtle Beach police report, a 50-year-old man and his friend walked to a home in the 1100 block of Vereen Avenue in Myrtle Beach to purchase $5 worth of marijuana.

The man told police he gave the woman $5 to purchase the marijuana, she went into the home and returned empty-handed. The two began to argue and the man said the woman pulled a three-inch knife and slashed his neck. He jumped back and the woman took another swing at his neck, according to the report.

The man said he ran home and called police.

No arrest had been made as of Sunday evening. The investigation is ongoing.
