Kings River Road to close for homecoming parade

Kings River Road in Georgetown County will be closed during the Waccamaw High School homecoming parade Friday.

The roadway will be closed to all traffic between All Saints Church and Waccamaw High School, said Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson.

The closure is expected to last for about an hour starting at 4:30 p.m. and includes the intersection of Waverly Road and Kings River Road.
