Crash involving pedestrian reported in Myrtle Beach

— Officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department and the S.C. Highway Patrol are on scene at a crash involving a pedestrian, authorities said.

The crash, reported about 6:20 p.m., is at 62nd Avenue North and U.S. 17 bypass.

According to the highway patrol, injuries are reported.

Bridget Wyant, with highway patrol, said the crash when initially reported involved a police officer. When a trooper arrived, however, they learned the Myrtle Beach police officer saw the crash happen, but was not involved in the wreck.
