More than 10,000 fly trap plants taken in Brunswick County burglary

— Deputies in Brunswick County, N.C., are searching for information in connection with a burglary at Fly Trap Farm where more than 10,000 fly trap plants and some tools were taken, according to a news release.

The burglary occurred between 4:30 p.m. Sept. 25 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 26 at the farm on Civietown Road and the plants were valued at $65,000, according to authorities. Fly Trap Farm is offering a reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible in the burglary.
