Myrtle Beach police charge N.C. man with prostitution after he reports robbery

— Myrtle Beach police charged a North Carolina man with prostitution after the man called police for an armed robbery late Sunday in the city, according to police reports.

Alan Leonard Levine, 66, of Calabash, N.C., was charged with first-offense prostitution and booked into the Myrtle Beach Jail at 2:35 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report.

Levine was listed as the victim and suspect in a report about an armed robbery that was reported about 11 p.m. Sunday in the area of 11th Avenue South and Kings Highway, according to the police report. Officers noted they responded to an armed robbery at the location and it was under investigation.

No other details were listed in the reports, so it was unclear what events lead to Levine’s arrest.
