Coastal women’s cross country runner Kyla van Gran was named the Big SOuth Conference women’s runner of the week, according to a Wednesday news release.
Van Graan is a freshman from Pretoria, South Africa, and ran a personal best 5K time of 17:54.14 to take first place at the Coastal Carolina Invitational last week.
The Chanticleer men and women both won their respective races for the second straight years, according to the release. The award is the first for van Graan, who has run in just two races for Coastal thus far.
