The Fresh Market plans to hire between 80 and 90 workers for its new store on the north end of Myrtle Beach.
The jobs at the new store under construction in Northwood Plaza Shopping Center include assistant managers, baker, meat cutter and candy/coffee specialist, according to the upscale grocer’s website.
Candidates can apply online at careers.thefreshmarket.com and type 180 into “keyword search” for the Myrtle Beach jobs. The Coastal Workforce Center, 200-A Victory Lane in Conway, will help applicants fill out the online job forms between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sept. 26.
Applicants will be interviewed during an event from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 9 at Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach, 9800 Queensway Blvd. Jobseekers must complete the online application before the interview, a company representative said via email.
The new store at 7753 N. Kings Highway plans to open by the end of the year, possibly in November, a company representative said.
This will be The Fresh Market’s second Grand Strand location; the other is in Pawley’s Island.
Fresh Market stores, aiming to create the feel of open European style markets, have old-style butcher shops, a fish market, bakery, produce and floral stands and a deli.
