MYRTLE BEACH — Police are searching for a pair of men who robbed a local Krispy Kreme on Sunday.
A security camera captured two black males who used a gun in the theft of cash from the doughnut store at 100 S. Kings Highway, and personal items from store employees.
According to the police report, the suspects entered an unsecured side door and grabbed an employee counting money in the office and held a silver revolver to that person’s head while demanding she open the safe. The suspects then threatened to kill the employee if the “big” safe was not opened.
The suspects also allegedly threatened to kill an employee mopping the floors when making their escape.
The two males took an undetermined amount of cash from the office, and a cellphone from the employee who was mopping the floor.
The suspects were described as black males with a slim build. Both were about 5-foot-9, one wearing tan shorts and a black T-shirt and the other dark basketball shorts with a red T-shirt wrapped around his head and face.
Police detectives continue the investigation and have both video and audio recordings of the incident.
