SWAT responds to suicidal person at apartment complex

Horry County Police’s SWAT Team responded to Cape Landing apartment complex near Myrtle Beach on Saturday afternoon to find a person dead in an apartment of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, said Lt. Robert Kegler with Horry County Police.

The team went to the complex about 4 p.m. after officers there on a welfare check heard what they believed to be a gunshot inside the apartment, Kegler said.

Officers entered the apartment and found the victim.
