Conway native Megan Kingsley has joined the most elite swimmers in the country.
She was named this week to the U.S. National Team, which includes the top six athletes with the fastest times in each Olympic event.
Kingsley made the list after solid swims in the 2013 Phillips 66 National Championships and World Championship Trials, the 2013 World Championships, the 2013 World University Games and the 2013 U.S. Open. Specifically, her 2:11.13 finish in the 200-meter butterfly at the U.S. Open, earned her spot on the team.
A former member of the Myrtle Beach Riptides, Kingsley swims for the Mount Pleasant Swim Club and has committed to swim in college at the University of Georgia.
As a member of the U.S. National Team, Kingsley is eligible to swim for the country in international competitions.
