MYRTLE BEACH — A man was arrested in Myrtle Beach when police found undernurished puppies at his home, according to an arrest report.
Arnold Parker Laws, 47, is charged with two counts of mistreatment of animals.
Police responded to the home on Rosehaven Drive in the city when they were called for dogs running at large and being mistreated. Police found a chocolate retriever puppy in bushes and unable to walk. The dog had a swollen front leg.
A black retriever puppy was found in a makeshift pen full of feces with no food or water, police said.
