A corrections officer with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is facing charges related to allegations that she provided contraband to inmates, said agency spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson.
Kelvenia Davis is charged with furnishing prisoners with alcohol or drugs, furnishing prisoners with contraband and public official misconduct in office.
She was arrested Aug. 29 following an internal investigation. Davis is accused of transporting contraband into the detention center and providing it to inmates.
