A man told Myrtle Beach police that a man who looked like a crack head, used a rock to hit him in the head and stole his pain killers, according to a police report.
The 50-year-old victim told officers that about 10 p.m. Wednesday he was walking behind the shopping center at 1503 North Kings Highway when he passed a fenced area and the suspect jumped out from behind it, police said.
The victim said the man hit him in the head with what felt like a brick or a rock and stole a bottle of Percocet from his pocket, according to the report. The victim had a red abrasion on his forehead.
The victim said the man ran away and the victim thought he went unconscious for several seconds, according to the report. The victim, who described the suspect as looking like a crack head, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
