Myrtle Beach police charged a 23-year-old woman in connection with a kitten being found inside an apartment she was evicted from this week, according to an arrest report.
Valencia A. Bullock, 23, of Myrtle Beach was taken into custody about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of abandoned/mistreated animals after officers were called to Patriots Way Apartments on Aug. 9 for an animal abandonment, police said.
Deputies with the Horry County Sheriff’s Office were at the apartment because of an eviction and Myrtle Beach police officers learned an 8- to 10-week-old kitten had been left in one of the rooms with no food or water, according to the report. The apartment was vacant at the time the kitten was found.
Bullock was listed as the person who rented the apartment and officers took the kitten to the humane society.
