A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Tuesday for the Myrtle Beach area, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service in Wilmington, N.C.
The fog advisory was issued at 7 a.m. Tuesday and is in effect for Horry, Georgetown and Brunswick, N.C., counties. Visibility was expected to be about quarter of a mile until about 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Motorists should use caution, use their low beam headlights and allow extra travel time.
