Pelicans battle Hillcats

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Advanced-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, continue a four-game series through Tuesday against the Lynchburg Hillcats, an Atlanta Braves farm club from Virginia. • “Surfside Beach Sunday Serenades,” 2 p.m. with 45-minute sets each by Acoustic Johnny, Sudie and Da’blooze Duo, Glenn “Houndog” Hanson and Neal Peterson, in town of Surfside Beach’s Veterans Memorial park, at Surfside and Willow drives, by Horry County Memorial Library Surfside Beach branch. Orchid group convenes
