— All seventh-grade students attending S.C. schools will be required to show proof of Tdap immunization, a booster vaccine that protects children from three dangerous diseases: tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough, according to a news release from Horry County Schools.

The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control is offering free Tdap shots during a special clinic on Aug. 17 at Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic can be most easily accessed through the mall entrance between Dillard’s and Bed, Bath and Beyond.
