800 Series

• Patrick Martin | Martin bowled games of 286, 279 and 247 for an 812 series in the Surfside Doubles.

280 - 299 Games

• David Ridenour | Ridenour had a 10-strike 289 game for a 743 series in the Turkey Bombers at Surfside Beach.

• Derrick Steers | Steers also rolled a 10-strike 289 game for a 743 series with the Summer Rollers at Surfside Beach.

Noteworthy

• From the Scoresheets | Best series for the ladies were a 661 by Nikki McDaniel with the Waccamaw Youth Adult and Teresa Dionisio 657 in the Big Bucks Trios also at Waccamaw.

GOLF

Holes-in-one

•  Everette Hatch | Hatch aced the 96-yard, par-3 11th hole at Myrtlewood’s PineHills Course on July 16 using a 7-iron.

•  Charles Shifflett | Shifflett had a hole-in-one on the 155-yard, par-3 12th hole on July 23 at Island Green using a 5-iron.

•  Bradley Bennett | Bennett, of Myrtle Beach, made his first hole-in-one on July 19 with a 9-iron on the 147-yard fifth hole at Long Bay Club.

•  Mark Piazza | Piazza aced the fifth hole at Heather Glen on July 16.

•  John Stokley | Stokley scored a hole-in-one on July 22 at Crown Park on the par-3, 147-yard 13th hole using a 7-iron.

•  Barbara Cleghorn | Cleghorn, of Surfside Beach got a hole-in-one on the 107-yard, par-3 17th hole at Myrtlewood’s Palmetto Course using an 8-iron.

•  Judy Hardin | Hardin shot a hole-in-one July 22 on the 94-yard, par-3 15th hole at Meadowland Golf Course using her 8-iron from the red tees.

Eagle

•  Herb Johnson | Johnson shot an eagle on the 312-yard 15th hole at Carolina Shores on July 24 using a driver and 9-iron.

Shoot-your-age

•  Harry Powers | Powers, from Murrells Inlet, shot his age of 67 at Myrtle Beach National’s West Course on July 7th.
