Conway is a city that knows how to make the most of its attributes by showing them off during special events and festivals that draw residents and visitors downtown.

It seems there is always something special scheduled on its historic streets, courthouse lawn or scenic riverfront.

Upcoming events:

Alive After 5 | 6-8 p.m. on 1st Thursday nights from June to November. The next event, on Aug. 1, features an ice cream social and music by Sea Cruz.

Rivertown Dine-Around | Sept. 21, a culinary tour of downtown Conway from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Conway Fall Festival | Oct. 5, Third Avenue and Laurel Street, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Live Oak Art & Music Fest | Also on Oct. 5 on the lawn of the Historic Horry County Court House from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Community Yard Sale & Sidewalk Sale Day | Oct. 12

Conway Ghost Walk: Spirits of the Lowcountry | Oct. 24-26
