Myrtle Beach man wanted after woman says he took her wig, assaulted her during argument about headphones

— Myrtle Beach police plan to charge a 20-year-old man after a woman reported he assaulted her during an argument about headphones, according to a police report.

Officers were called at 9:20 p.m. Thursday by a 20-year-old woman to 1500 Beaver Road for a disturbance, police said.

The victim told officers she argued with her boyfriend about headphones and when she got up from the couch, the suspect grabbed her and choked her, according to the report. The victim said the suspect held her on the couch, choking her until she could not breathe.

The victim said she yelled at the suspect and he grabbed her head, took her wig off and hit her in the face, according to the report. The victim said the suspect clawed at her thigh with his nails before she was able to get away from him.

The victim said the suspect left when she said she was calling police, according to the report. The suspect was not at the house and police planned to seek a warrant for his arrest.

The victim suffered bruises to her neck and scratches on her thigh, according to the report. The couple does not have any prior criminal domestic violence history.
