— A 50-year-old woman told Myrtle Beach police she was cut multiple times with a knife by another woman after the women exchanged words, according to a police report.

The victim told officers that about 8 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Mr. Joe White Avenue she was driving to her niece and she drove by the 44-year-old suspect, police said.

The victim said in the area of Blue Street she drove by the suspect, who said “What’s up [expletive]?” So the victim said she replied “Back at ya,” according to the report. The victim said she pulled into the location and as she opened the door, the suspect ran up to the vehicle.

The victim said the suspect was wielding a knife and the victim punched at the suspect to push her away, according to the report. The victim said the suspect cut her with the knife and then ran away.

Officers checked the area, but did not locate the suspect. The officer wrote in the report that a warrant would be sought for the suspect. The victim told police she didn’t need EMS, but the officer called EMS to treat the victim’s left arm.
