Georgetown man faces weapon, resisting police charges

A 22-year-old Georgetown man was charged Saturday with one weapons charge and two charges of having an altercation with police.

Eric Lamar Dozier was booked shortly after 8 p.m. Fridaty in the Georgetown County Detention Center, according to online reports. Dozier was arrested in connection with a shooting in the 100 block of Orange Street before 5 p.m. Friday.

Two men told police they were shot at with a shotgun, according to reports from the Georgetown Police Department. One had minor injuries, but neither required medical attention.

Dozier was charged with indering and obstruction law enforcement, discharging weapon in city limits and resisting. Dozier is in custody with no bail set for any of the charges.
