A Loris man was charged Wednesday night in a 2012 fatal shooting, said Loris Police Chief Joe Vaught.
Kentrell Hilton, 22, is charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and two counts of second-degree assault and battery. Vaught said the State Law Enforcement Division made the arrest and deferred further comment to the state agency.
Hilton is accused of killing a Elroy Miller, 34, of Tabor City N.C. in a shooting that occurred about 9:45 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2012 near Maple and Broad Streets in Loris.
Miller was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene about 10 p.m.
