Murder suspect wanted in Indiana arrested in Horry County

A man accused of killing his wife in Indiana was arrested in Horry County, said Sgt. Robert Kegler with Horry County police.

Kegler said an Horry County detective assigned to the U.S. Marshal Task Force was told the suspect, Lorenzo Edward Archer, 49, may be in the Myrtle Beach area last week.

Archer is accused of killing his wife in Vigo County, Indiana and disposing the body in Green County Ohio before fleeing to Horry County.

He was arrested on Ocean Boulevard on June 13.

Archer is charged with murder and altering the scene of a death and has been extradited to Indiana.
