MYRTLE BEACH — Two people were injured in a head-on collision that shutdown Forestbrook Road for several hours Tuesday afternoon, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. near Quail Hollow Road when a 2003 Dodge pickup truck, driven north by Thomas Tiebeman, crossed the center line hitting a southbound 2004 Toyota Sienna driven by a 54-year-old Myrtle Beach woman, said Senior Trooper Bridget Wyant.
Tiebeman, 57, is charged with felony DUI and driving under suspension, Wyant said.
Both Tiebeman and the woman were wearing seatbelts when the crash occurred. Tiebeman was taken by ambulance to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. The woman was extricated from her car and flown to the same hospital, Wyant said.
