Area’s only Atlanta Bread Co. location closes

— Atlanta Bread Co. has closed its only location along the Grand Strand.

The restaurant at 106 Sayebrook Parkway, off S.C. 544 in front of Target, had been a staple in that location for years.

It’s unclear why the restaurant -- known for its variety of breads and sandwiches -- closed.

Other Atlanta Bread Co. locations, including one off 76th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach, had closed years ago.

No new tenant has been lined up for Atlanta Bread’s former spot in Sayebrook, said Barb Krumm, spokeswoman for The Jackson Companies, which developed Sayebrook.

“It is certainly a prime location,” she said.
