Myrtle Beach woman awakened by man slapping her face

— Myrtle Beach police plan to see a warrant for the arrest of a 27-year-old Loris man after a woman told police she woke to him slapping her in the face early Wednesday, according to a police report.

The victim, a 25-year-old woman, told officers she was sleeping in her bed at 1011 Osceola St., when the suspect slapped the right side of her face about 12 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

The victim said the suspect was on top of her and slapped her in the face several more times before he left the apartment, according to the report. A witness told police she saw the suspect leave the apartment and he told her that he slapped the victim.

The victim had a scratch on her face, but declined treatment by EMS.
