A robbery is under investigation in Pawleys Island Friday afternoon.

A man went to a business a 10517 Ocean Highway about 1:20 p.m. Friday asking for change, then grabbed an unknown amount of cash once the register drawer was open, said Georgetown County Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson. The buisness was not identified.

The man was wearing a grey and red stripped shirt, black pants, black shoes and a grey hat and never presented a weapon.

Cuthbertson said he fled on foot headed south.
