Georgetown school district gives Support Staff of the Year award

Waccamaw Middle School's Doris Sherald received the Georgetown County School District Support Staff of the Year award Thursday at a banquet at the J.B. Beck Administration and Education Center in Georgetown.

Other finalists for the honor were Teresa Glisson, instructional assistant, Andrews Elementary School; Tara Lewis, nurse, Kensington Elementary School; Patsy Lewis, nurse, Maryville Elementary School; and Roadia Greene, instructional assistant, Waccamaw Elementary School.

Other nominees were Barbara Chandler, Brown’s Ferry Elementary School; Dorthula Geathers, McDonald Elementary School; Tom Dekine, Plantersville Elementary School; Pansey Kelly, Pleasant Hill Elementary School; Barbara White, Sampit Elementary School; Patricia Johnson, Waccamaw Intermediate School; Teresa Gamble, Carvers Bay Middle School; Patricia Jackson, Georgetown Middle School; Glennie Brunson, Rosemary Middle School; Randolph Pope, Andrews High School; Geraldean Lewis, Carvers Bay High School; Dorothy Frantz, Georgetown High School; Joyce Moultrie, Waccamaw High School; and Donna Washington, Optional Education.
