Couple charged after Myrtle Beach police says they had sex next to Kings Highway bar

— Myrtle Beach police charged a man and woman early Monday in connection with them having sex next to a bar on Kings Highway, according to arrest reports.

David Scott Burks, 48, of Flowery Branch, Ga., and Debra Kaye Backos, 43, of Myrtle Beach, were each charged with disorderly conduct, nudity, public sex after an officer saw the couple about 2 a.m. Monday on the side of Foster Bar at 6307 N. Kings Highway, police said.

The officer wrote in the arrest report that both admitted to having sex in public along side of the building, according to the report. A witness also told police the couple were seen having sex there.

The couple were remained jailed at 8:30 a.m. Monday on $262 cash bonds for each of them, according to Myrtle Beach Jail records.
