Myrtle Beach police arrest man for public intoxication just hours after turning 21

— A Connecticut man began his 21st birthday behind bars following his arrest early Saturday morning at Broadway at the Beach for public intoxication after repeatedly telling officers he was looking for himself.

Rory David O’ Connor, whose date of birth is listed as April 27, 1992, was arrested at 2:23 a.m. Saturday and booked into the Myrtle Beach Jail.

According to the arrest report, O’ Connor was found standing in the bushes at 1318 Celebrity Circle. He was reportedly unable to stand up without almost falling over and couldn’t tell officers what city he was in.

“The offender kept stating he was looking for himself,” the report stated.
