Letter | Barking a trivial topic for Surfside Beach officials

April 26, 2013

I have to agree with Tom Duffy regarding Surfside Beach’s ridiculous consideration to limit dogs from barking at the dog park.

With so many important issues elected officials face, it is trivial and senseless for elected officials to listen to a couple of disgruntled (I’m guessing senior citizens) complain about something that is a normal fact of life. These complainers remind me of people in my community who have nothing to do but complain to the HOA about inane issues.

The complainers will say “I want some peace and quiet.” Well I’ve got a place for you: the local graveyard. Lots of peace and quiet there.
