— Myrtle Beach police officers made a pair prostitution arrests Wednesday, marking the third straight day arrests were made for the charge in the city.

Brandina Kerene Grass, 28, of Myrtle Beach is charged with prostitution, second offense, and resisting arrest but warrants were not immediately served because she was taken to the hospital. Chastity Marie Hicks, 34, of Myrtle Beach is charged with prostitution, second offense.

Grass was seen walking near Mr. Joe White Avenue and Dunbar Street about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. After she flagged the officer down, she got in the car and agreed to perform a sexual act for $50, police said. A uniformed officer pulled the undercover cop and Grass over. While arresting Grass, police said she tried to pull away, fought with officers and threw herself to the ground while handcuffed.

Police took Grass to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation.

Hicks flagged an undercover officer down about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday near 1st Avenue North and Kings Highway offering to perform oral sex for $30 and intercourse for $40. A second uniformed officer arrested Hicks without incident.

Grass also had an outstanding warrant for loitering. Hicks is also wanted in Hickory, N.C. for felony possession of cocaine, the report said.
