Horry County police charge Conway man in sexual assault of 9-year-old

— Horry County police charged a Conway man Thursday in connection with the sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl, according to a police report.

Anthony Blunt, 30, of Conway was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 11:05 a.m. Thursday, according to jail records. Blunt is being held there pending a bond hearing.

A woman reported on Nov. 1 to Horry County police that she learned from the girl that Blunt had sexually assaulted the girl, according to the report. The woman also told police that three other girls, ages 14, 13 and 7 had been around Blunt.

Detectives were called to investigate the incident. No other details were listed in the report.
