Little River man claims $250,000 lottery prize

— A Little River man won $250,000 by playing the lottery this month, according to S.C. Education Lottery officials.

The man, who declined to be identified, told officials he purchased the winning quick pick ticket for the Mega Millions drawing at the Kangaroo Express station No. 461 located on U.S. 17 in Little River, according to a news release. The ticket was purchased April 2 and matched the first five numbers drawn.

The store received $2,500 commission for selling the claimed ticket.
