Myrtle Beach man charged with prostitution

— Myrtle Beach police charged a 40-year-old man with prostitution late Wednesday, according to an arrest report.

Keith Bernard James, 40, of Myrtle Beach was charged with first-offense prostitution when officers took him into custody at 11:19 p.m. Wednesday, according to the report. James was arrested in the area of Reed Street and Howard Avenue.

James also faces an unrelated bench warrant, but details about that incident were not listed in the arrest report.

Bond was set at $781 on the prostitution charge and $262 on the bench warrant charge, according to Myrtle Beach Jail records.

An incident report regarding James’ arrest was not available early Thursday, Capt. David Knipes said. It was unclear when the report would be completed and available.
