Five people taken to hospital following Horry County crash, traffic lights knocked down

Horry County emergency crews have closed a portion of S.C. 410 for a vehicle crash at S.C. 9, according to Leslie Yancey with Horry County Fire Rescue.

Crews were called to the crash at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Green Sea community, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol website.

Horry County officials took five people to the hospital for treatment of injuries they suffered in the crash, Yancey said. The signal lights at the intersection were knocked down during the incident.

Additional details about how many vehicles were involved and the extent of those injured were not immediately available Thursday.
