Crash on U.S. 501 near Myrtle Beach causing delays

A vehicle crash on U.S. 501 near Waccamaw Pines Drive was causing delays in the Myrtle Beach area, according to officials with the state Department of Transportation.

The crash was reported at 12:36 p.m. Wednesday, but did not involve any injuries, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol website.

The left northbound lane of U.S. 501 was closed and causing traffic delays, according to officials.

Motorists in that area should expect delays or find an alternative route.
