— Investigators with the S.C. Department of Revenue arrested a Myrtle Beach woman on multiple tax charges Tuesday.

Cynthia Williams, 333, is charged with four counts of assisting in the preparation of a fraudulent tax return, four counts of forgery and four counts of conspiracy, said Samantha Cheek spokeswoman for the DOR.

Williams is accused of providing fraudulent W2 forms to individuals to have income tax returns prepared in each of their names and assisted in the tax preparation for the 2011 tax year. Federal and state returns for the individuals totaled $36,250, Cheek said.

If convicted, Williams faces up to 60 years imprisonment and/or $22,000 in fines.
