Daytona welcomes bikers, why not us?

March 26, 2013

My husband and I, who are well over 55 years of age, just came back from the Harley motorcycle rally in Daytona Beach, Fla., and I want to tell everyone here in Myrtle Beach how Daytona welcomes bikers.

They roll out the red carpet, so to speak, for the bikers. I have never felt so welcome in a town that in this economy knows where the bread and butter comes from. Welcoming banners are on just about every lightpole, etc., vendors everywhere and not crippled by our local government! This town plans. No problems with traffic and the local folks go out of their way to welcome you.

Take note, Myrtle Beach, and take some lessons from a town that appreciates mostly professional people who own Harleys having a good time!

Hey, just a suggestion: If the noise is too much for you, schedule your vacation that week. Let the local businesses earn some money!
