Myrtle Beach police charge woman with prostitution

March 26, 2013

— Dianah Carol Woods was charged with first offense prostitution Monday afternoon by a Myrtle Beach police officer who arrested her at an address on Reed Street.

Woods, 43, of Yaupon Drive, was charged after officers responded to an advertisement on “Backpage.com,” according to a police report. Officers texted the suspect to inquire if she was available for outcalls and she responded that she was for $175, according to the arrest report.

Officers set up an appointment at Reed Street and arrested Woods when she showed up. The arrest report reads that the suspect – who says she set the ad up through a friend – admitted to answering the text message and setting her price.
