MYRTLE BEACH — Ebbie Phillips, president and CEO of Tyson Sign Co., was among 47 people recognized in a ceremony in Columbia this week for his exceptional efforts to bolster community and economic development activities in South Carolina.

As part of the state’s Industry Appreciation Week, Phillips was named an Ambassador for Economic Development by the S.C. Department of Commerce.

Phillips is secretary of the executive committee of the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corp. and chairman of its marketing and membership committee.
