"I enjoy seeing the kids smile and being able to be a role model. Their hearts are in the right place," said CCU football player Marcellus Hunter. Hunter spent time at Burgess Elementary School in the kindergarten class of Allison Gafford. He was one of the student athletes that visited nearly 100 kindergarten classes at 18 schools dressed in Chanticleer gear to read the book "The Giving Tree" to students. Following the reading, each student will put the book's lesson into play by drawing a picture and creating their own greeting card for a homebound senior citizen in Horry County.
