CONWAY — A Conway woman was cited after a 22-year-old man was bitten by a dog while riding his bicycle along Pearl Street, according to a police report.
Conway police issued a courtesy summons for animal running at large and possession of a dangerous animal to 55-year-old Janice Arlene Lincourt after officers were called to Pear Street and Austin Avenue for the incident, police said.
The victim told police the dog ran out of the yard and bit him, pulled him off his bicycle and then bit him twice more while he was on the ground, according to the report. The victim said the dog owner, Lincourt, came and got the dog, so he got back on his bicycle and rode home.
The victim said when he arrived home and saw his wounds he realized how severe the attack was and called police, according to the report. Lincourt told police she went outside to get the dog to bring it inside when the dog took off running after the victim, who was riding by.
The dog was up-to-date on its rabies shots and the victim was treated at Conway Medical Center.
