A Hollywood talent agency’s roster just got a little more southern.

Bill Oberst Jr., a Georgetown native currently living in Los Angeles, was signed this week by Amsel, Eisenstadt & Frazier Talent Agency for theatrical and commercial representation.

The agency also represents actors such as Danny Trejo, Sid Haig, Jake Busey, Verne Troyer and others.

“To be sharing the same talen agent with Mr. Trejo is a very big deal for me,” Oberst said in a news release.

Oberst most recently starred in “The Retrieval,” which premieres at the South by Southwest Film Festival this month, and his next wide release is as Simon Leach in “Children of Sorrow,” a role that won him a Best Actor award at Hollywood’s Shockfest Film Festival. A trailer of “Children of Sorrow” is viewable on YouTube ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW_FRa5HhNE).

Trejo has starred in movies such as “Machete,” “Grindhouse” and “From Dusk Till Dawn.”

Oberst was most recently in the Grand Strand area this past January for a one-man show titled “Bill Oberst’s Weird Tales” that was produced at Strand Theater in Georgetown.
