Myrtle Beach police investigate woman sexually assaulted at Ocean Boulevard hotel

Myrtle Beach police are investigating a report that a woman was sexually assaulted after a man armed with a knife forced his way inside her hotel room, according to a police report.

The victim called officers about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday to 608 N. Ocean Blvd., to report the assault, police said.

The victim, whose age was not listed in the report, told officers she was standing in the door talking on the phone when the man forced her inside of the room and sexually assaulted her, according to the report. The victim said the man had a knife.

Detectives are investigating the incident. No other details were listed in the report.
